The Most Dangerous Places Near Water – and How to Make Them Safer When we...
Our lifesaving raft station is a fully equipped rescue system designed specifically for quay and harbor environments, where fast and reliable access to lifesaving equipment is essential. The station includes a two-legged stand with secure fittings, a lifesaving raft, a rescue ladder, a lifebuoy, a rescue hook, and a clearly visible location sign — everything needed to enable an effective rescue operation.
The rescue ladder, measuring four meters in length, is designed to reach the water safely from higher quays and piers. It features durable snap hooks and spacers for quick deployment and stability. Each ladder is type-approved by SP for use as a certified rescue ladder, meeting the strict standards of both the Swedish Work Environment Authority (AFS 2004:3) and EU regulation EN 131.
All Shore Safety rescue products are manufactured in accordance with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) guidelines — among the highest safety standards in the world. This ensures that every component offers maximum reliability, weather resistance, and long-term durability, even under harsh Nordic conditions.

The station should be positioned perpendicular to the waterline, ensuring it is clearly visible even from a long distance.
The raft is mounted on one side, while the lifebuoy, ladder, and hook are placed on the other. This design ensures that the rescue equipment is easily accessible from either side.
The station is anchored to both concrete and wooden quays using Shore Safety’s quay brackets or a concrete foundation. The raft is placed on the included brackets and secured with two steel wires.

We use durable, recyclable materials.
All aluminium, stainless steel, and plastics are selected to meet both environmental and safety standards. Every product follows MSB’s (The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency) guidelines for rescue equipment. MSB is widely recognised for maintaining very high safety and quality standard
