The Most Dangerous Places Near Water – and How to Make Them Safer When we...
Reflectors combine safety, durability, and long-term visibility in a compact design. Engineered with high-performance prismatic surfaces, they deliver a guaranteed reflective effect for at least ten years — ensuring reliable visibility in demanding environments, day and night.
To meet different safety needs, the reflectors are available in a range of sizes and formats tailored to rescue equipment. The 40 × 80 mm model is designed for rescue ladders and ladder handles, while the 40 × 130 mm version fits rescue hooks. For larger installations such as rescue post poles and rescue station poles, a 60 × 195 mm option provides maximum visibility at a distance.
Complete sets are also available, including a full reflector kit for the RR3 rescue raft. Clear RESCUE LADDER and RESCUE HOOK reflectors ensure instant recognition of equipment and come in packs suitable for retrofitting in the field.
Shore Safety Reflectors are designed to maximize the visibility of rescue equipment along quays, harbors, and industrial waterfronts, helping people in distress quickly locate lifesaving devices in low-light or nighttime conditions. Built for demanding coastal environments, they offer long-range reflectivity, durability, and maintenance-free performance in a compact design.
The reflector plates feature high-performance prismatic surfaces with a guaranteed ten-year reflective effect, maintaining clarity even after prolonged exposure to saltwater, UV radiation, and Nordic weather. They are available in 50 × 500 mm (four reflectors) and 50 × 750 mm (six reflectors), both mounted on either side of the rescue ladder to guide a person in the water to the point of access.
For increased visibility at long distances, the Clip On tube features a high-visibility yellow reflector and comes pre-installed on new chain ladders, with retrofit packs of six available. The angled reflector plate — 50 × 50 × 745 mm with twelve reflectors — offers all-round visibility and is ideal for fixed ladders.
All Shore Safety reflector products are quick to install, built for long-term reliability, and comply with the requirements of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB), ensuring dependable visibility when seconds matter.
