The Most Dangerous Places Near Water – and How to Make Them Safer When we...
The Shore Safety Rescue Station is a complete and ready-to-use lifesaving installation, specially designed for quay environments. It provides immediate access to all essential rescue tools, ensuring a quick and coordinated response in emergencies near the water.
The station consists of a 3-meter post with fittings, an approved rescue ladder, a rescue hook, a lifebuoy, and a reflective location sign. For areas where additional fire protection is required, the station can also be equipped with a fire cabinet.
All Shore Safety rescue products comply with the requirements of the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and meet European safety standards for waterfront installations.
The Rescue Station – Quay is built to combine functionality, durability, and safety in one professional installation. Each component is made from marine-grade, corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring long-term performance even in harsh coastal environments.
The rescue ladder measures three meters and is SP type-approved for use as a professional rescue ladder in accordance with AFS 2004:3 and EN 131. In addition to providing safe access from the water, the ladder is multifunctional — it can also be used as a stretcher during rescue operations, allowing for safe and efficient evacuation of a person in distress.
The rescue hook and lifebuoy offer multiple retrieval options, while the reflective location sign ensures the station is visible from a distance both day and night. The design ensures that lifesaving equipment is always organized, easy to locate, and accessible from either side of the installation.
With an optional fire cabinet, the station becomes a comprehensive safety hub, ideal for quays, harbors, and waterfront facilities.
